What is Rolfing?
The main aim of Rolfing is to re-establish the natural alignment of the human body.
Rolfing, or Structural Integration is a holistic body therapy. It helps to re-establish elasticity and lubrication to sticky and viscous fascia tissue and to develop a more upright and adaptable posture.
In a series of several sessions, Rolfing supports their clients in improving their posture and movement patterns.
The holistic and supportive view of Rolfing, together with its individual-centered approach enables a wide range of applications.

How it works
Rolfing is based on a number of principles and focuses on the individual needs of each client. Alongside the treatment of the fascial web and its relations, attention is also paid to learning exercises and movements.
Treatment process
Each session starts with a short conversation, while the first intake session always starts with an intake interview. During the intake session it is my wish to answer all of the issues that arise.

Who is Rolfing for?
To date, I had clients with an age-span that goes from 5 months old to 86 years old. Rolfing is for people who feel healthy or sick. For people close or far from their ideal body weight. For women, for men. To be more specific it can address:
Rolfing can help with
General wellbeing
more self-awareness, better breathing, greater flexibility, refined coordination.
Physical discomfort
chronic pain, acute pain, muscle disorder, postural issues, scar.
Emotional discomfort
stress, burnout, depression, PTSD, grief.
About Janco
"I think there are many lenses through which you can look at a person, or at a body; for example holistic, integrative, structural and functional; or the liquid body and the biomechanical body. This complexity makes it a bit more difficult to understand things, but also more interesting, and to me it is actually the only way that makes sense.
Structural Integration work is physical, but can also be psychological (history in the tissue, feeling in the past, becoming aware of emotional tension, stiffness and stress, and holding of breath).
Rolfing should feel good, relaxing, and releasing, and also have a wellness effect, next to reducing pain, and creating efficiency in a more integrated body.
The work should never feel painful, but sometimes can be on an edge."
